Smart Reminders
Schedule a reminder window so Andy nudges you to check in at a time that fits your routine. Copy stays direct, reminders respect days you already logged, and you can mute alerts anytime without affecting saved entries.

Reminders follow normal iOS notification behavior. You choose roughly when you want the alert, not an exact second.
Setting reminders
You can disable reminders while traveling or whenever logging feels like a chore. Turning them back on takes a few taps in Settings.
Notification copy stays direct: open Andy, log your mood. No motivational quotes.
If you already logged that day, Andy should not send another reminder for the same date.
Building the habit
Pair reminders with a real-world anchor, such as after brushing teeth, so the alert reinforces a habit you already have.
If notifications feel like pressure during a hard week, turn them off and rely on opening the app when you remember. Your timeline stays intact either way.
iOS notification settings
iOS controls still apply: system Do Not Disturb, Focus modes, and notification permissions can silence Andy like any other app. Reminders are a nudge, not an obligation to write a long entry.
Test two reminder times if the first one fails often. Evening after dinner and right before bed are common anchors because the phone is already in hand and the day is partially summarized.
Travel and time zone changes can shift when reminders fire. Adjust the window in Settings after flights so alerts stay in a local evening slot that still makes sense.
If reminders feel noisy, shorten the copy goal: open Andy now, tap mood, close. That is still a successful day for the habit. You can silence reminders for a full week without losing earlier log history.
